Served as a Senior Engineer Sergeant for a Special Forces Military Free Fall Operational Detachment – A (SFODA-A), dedicated to the conduct of Preparation of the Environment, Unconventional Warfare (UW), and Advanced Special Operations (ASO) in the CENTCOM AOR for strategic operations at the theater level. Performed, supervised, planned, and instructed all aspects of special operations tactical engineering and demolitions. Planned and participated in the employment of technical surveillance systems during ASO. Trained and advised US and indigenous personnel or units up to the battalion level in Unconventional Warfare. Served as a US representative overseas and team linguist in Iraq during Operation New Dawn.


Special Operations Command Pacific (Airborne) SOCPAC, Camp Smith, HI
Special Operations TCP Planner/South Asia Desk NCO
April 2008 – June 2010

Served as the Theater Security Cooperation Planner (TSCP), Joint Exercise Planner and South Asia Regional Desk NCO for Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC). Future Operations Directorate. Planned, mentored, and tracked all regional Special Operations Forces (SOF) activities. Conducted, coordinated, and planned over 250 Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) and Counter Narcotics Training (CNT) within the South Asia region with US Embassies, Department of State, US PACOM Staff, Sub-unified Commands, and host nation military leaders. Wrote and updated SOCPAC country plans and orders for future SOF engagements within an estimated budget of $16,000,000. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and execution of command individual readiness training, qualification and advanced marksmanship, airborne, service specific training requirements. Responsible for the maintenance, accountability, and service ability of arms, ammunition, and equipment in excess of $2,000,000.

Served as the JTF-510 JOC NCO for the JCS Elipse Charlie Exercise 08. Performed duties as the Backside NCOIC for a JCS Elipse Charlie 09. Performed duties as Special Forces liaison to the Australian Army for a JCS Talisman Saber 09. Assisted in US/Tawainese Inter-agency and military reserve emergency crisis action plan for Kaohsiung City and Penghu Island against transnational threats.

Special Forces Recruiter
April 2007 - March 2008

Planned and executed a global Army Special Operations Forces (RSOF) recruiting campaign for qualified in-service Special Forces officers and enlisted volunteers. Executed installation level advertising and marketing programs tailored to a target market. Utilized state of the art multi media and information systems to conduct individual and large group presentations on career opportunities within ARSOF. Lead, trained, and counseled future candidates through the processing cycle to ensure candidates were mentally and physically prepared for the rigors of training.


5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, KY
Special Forces Sniper Instructor
June 2005 - March 2007

Served as an instructor for the 5th Special Forces Group Airborne Level 2 Special Operations Target Interdiction Course (SOTIC). Supervised and instructed 144 students annually with over 100 hours of platform instruction. Served as a coach and faculty advisor for assigned student sniper teams. Set up, maintained, and assisted in the operation of SOTIC ranges. Administered field training exercises and shooting evaluations. Assisted in control and maintenance of unit equipment. Developed and updated lesson plans and outlines. Responsible for all supply operations to include the utilization of the school’s $15,000 monthly budget. Maintained over $1,000,000 specialized assets. Responsible for testing new sniper equipment. Advised the command on technical and tactical issues concerning unit sniper capabilities.


C Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Campbell, KY
Special Forces Senior Engineer Sergeant
October 2002 - May 2005

Provided the demolition and construction expertise supporting tactical and training missions. Conducted target analysis and advised the commander on methods of destruction. Advised Allied forces on combat engineering operations. Developed logistical plans for the Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA). Assessed, planned, and conducted detachment cross training. Supervised the transportation, storage, and security of explosives. Managed the ODA’s property accountability book. Planned, trained, and lead others in light infantry tactics in support of Special Operation Forces missions in the CENTCOM AOR. Senior advisor to the Iraqi Special Operations Battalion Supply Officer, maintaining 43 vehicles and 600 weapon systems. Executed duties of Team Sergeant while deploying the only Iraqi unit to conduct Unconventional Warfare Combat Operations in Fallujah, Iraq. Mentored the Iraqi 36th Commando Battalion supply officer in maintaining $500,000 worth of equipment and contracts. Implemented policies of responsibility, integrity, and oversight for field interrogations conducted during combat operations in Iraq. Assessed and stabilized a sector in Iraq containing 30K civilians by working with local officials during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Assisted the senior engineer with mission planning to include target analysis preparation and employment of demolitions, as well as obstacles and barriers in supporting the tactical and training missions of the SFODA. Planned and conducted detachment cross training. Supervised the transportation, storage, and security of explosives. Maintained accountability of all detachment equipment. Advised Allied forces on combat engineer operations up to battalion level. Planned, trained, and lead others in light infantry tactics in support of Special Operation Forces missions. Advised a Kyrgyzstani Company in small unit tactics, live fire exercises, and all aspects of sniper operations, increasing their combat capabilities by 100%. Served as observer controller for 15 Kyrgyzstani live fire exercises OCONUS. Served as Team Leader of a 22 man Pakistani quick reactionary force during Operation Enduring Freedom. Served in training 400 Pakistani Special Service Group soldiers to conduct quick reactionary force duties during Operation Enduring Freedom. Mentored and advised Jordanian Company Grade officers on company size direct action missions during joint combined service exercise Early Victor.
